Start with your situation

What do you need a manufacturer to do?

The right search depends on what you want to make, what is already decided, and the quantity you can realistically order.

Make your design

You have drawings, a reference sample, or an idea that needs development. We help clarify the manufacturing requirements and identify questions for potential factories.

Customize an existing product

You want a different material, finish, logo, or packaging. We compare what suppliers can change and what those changes mean for samples, cost, and MOQ.

Explore another supplier

Your current supplier may no longer fit your product, quantity, or timing. We help compare alternatives against the requirements that matter for your next order.

A focused manufacturer search

Agree what you need to receive before we begin.

Our $299 manufacturer search covers one product brief and one agreed search round. You receive available supplier responses, comparison notes, open questions, and suggested next checks to help you decide whom to approach next.

01 / PRODUCT BRIEF

A clearer set of requirements

Review the product reference, materials, quantity, customization, destination market, and unresolved details. Separate essential requirements from preferences.

02 / CANDIDATES

A relevant supplier shortlist

Compare up to three responsive, initially suitable candidates against your product brief. If fewer fit your requirements, we report the findings and limitations rather than add unsuitable companies to fill the list.

03 / COMPARISON

Responses you can compare

Summarize available information on production role, relevant capabilities, MOQ, samples, quoted costs, and timing. Separate confirmed information, supplier claims, and unanswered questions.

04 / NEXT STEP

A route toward verification or samples

Identify which questions remain before a factory visit, sample request, or order. Any additional verification, sample coordination, or production support is scoped with you.

Capability before a low quote

How we compare manufacturers for your order.

A factory can be established and still be a poor fit for your product. We focus the questions on the work your order actually requires.

Relevant product and process experience

Which comparable products, materials, and finishes can the supplier discuss? Which operations happen in-house, and which are subcontracted?

Quantity and customization

Does the order fit the factory’s production setup? What minimum applies by design, material, color, or packaging? What changes add tooling or setup costs?

Samples and quality requirements

What sample can be made, what will it demonstrate, and how will you assess it? What specifications and quality checkpoints need to be agreed for production?

Commercial terms and follow-through

Do quotations describe the same specification? What is included or separate? Are timing assumptions and responsibilities clear, and are open questions answered?

Understand who does the work

Manufacturer or trading company? Make the roles clear.

We help clarify who sells the product, where it will be made, and which business will quote, receive payment, and handle problems. A factory label alone does not establish those responsibilities.

A direct manufacturer may fit one order; a trading company may help coordinate several products or smaller quantities. The decision should depend on the actual role, transparency, capabilities, and terms offered.

Where a production-site visit is needed, we discuss a separate verification scope. Business identity, factory capability, and the quality of a particular shipment require different checks.

A practical way to begin

From your product brief to the next decision.

  1. Tell Bryan what you want to make.

Share your reference and estimated quantity. Explain whether you need an existing design, customization, a new product, or an alternative supplier.

  2. Agree the first paid task.

Confirm the search scope, expected findings, deliverable format, timing, fee, and costs that are separate. We also identify details that need clarifying before a useful search is possible.

  3. Review the candidates and open questions.

Compare supplier responses against the same brief. Discuss limitations and the further evidence needed rather than deciding on price alone.

  4. Choose whether to verify or sample.

You decide which option to explore. Agree any further factory visit, sample coordination, or production support before that work starts.

Start with the $299 basic manufacturer search. Additional search rounds or changes to the agreed product brief are quoted separately. Read about pricing and payment.

You do not need a perfect brief

What should you send us?

Send what you already know. If a detail is undecided, mark it as an open question.

  • A product link, photos, drawings, or a reference sample.
  • Material, dimensions, function, finish, and essential quality requirements.
  • Your estimated first-order quantity and any variants.
  • The logo, packaging, or product changes you want.
  • Your destination country or market, budget range, and target timing where known.
  • What is holding you back: finding candidates, comparing quotations, checking a supplier, or arranging samples.
Starting with a small order? Tell us the quantity you can realistically support. Existing designs, fewer variants, or simpler packaging may offer different options from a fully customized product. Feasibility must be checked with suppliers. Explore samples and MOQ.

A real product-development example

From a 925 silver design to a manufacturing conversation.

An overseas jewelry design company needed a Chinese manufacturer for its designs. GCB’s work included an on-site factory visit, discussions with the factory, and practical process suggestions during sampling.

The value went beyond introducing a supplier: the work helped connect the design with how it would actually be made.

Before you begin

Questions about finding a manufacturer in China.

Can you help me find a manufacturer with just an idea?

Yes, an idea or reference product can start the conversation. New or highly customized products need clearer requirements before a factory can assess feasibility, tooling, cost, and samples. We can discuss what information is missing and whether specialist input is needed.

Do you help small businesses and small first orders?

Yes. Small orders are welcome to discuss. Whether a factory can accept the quantity depends on materials, setup, customization, variants, and packaging. We clarify the options rather than promise the same low MOQ for every product.

What will I receive from a manufacturer search?

The $299 basic search includes a clarified product brief, up to three responsive, initially suitable candidates, available supplier responses, comparison notes, unresolved questions, and suggested next checks. If fewer suitable candidates respond, we explain the result. Factory visits, sample purchases, testing, inspections, and ongoing coordination are quoted separately.

How many factories will you shortlist?

The basic search covers up to three responsive, initially suitable candidates for one agreed product brief and one search round. This is a maximum, not a promise that three suitable factories will be available. We report fewer when that is what the search supports. Further searches or changes to the brief are quoted separately.

Can you compare manufacturers I found myself?

Yes. Send their company details, product information, quotations, and your concerns. We can discuss a comparison or verification task without restarting a search that you have already done.

Is a factory visit included in the search?

No. A factory visit is a separate task to examine the accessible production site and relevant capabilities. See the factory visit scope and fees.

How much does the search cost, and how long will it take?

The basic search costs $299. We confirm timing before work begins based on the product brief and supplier response expectations. The first introductory conversation is free. Review the full scope and payment arrangements.

Does finding a suitable factory guarantee the order will go well?

No. Supplier selection is one stage. Approved specifications, sample assessment, written terms, production follow-up, and appropriate inspections still matter. We discuss the support needed for each stage rather than treating a shortlist as a guarantee.

Start with one useful step

Tell us what you need made.

Send a product reference, your estimated quantity, and the question you want answered. We can discuss whether a manufacturer search, supplier check, or sample task is the right place to begin.

The first introductory conversation is free. A basic manufacturer search is $299 for one product brief and one search round. We confirm the scope and timing before paid work begins.
