CHINA-SIDE SOURCING & PROJECT COORDINATION
Source explosion-proof motors from China with someone on the ground to verify the factory, follow production and coordinate agreed quality checks. Know who will make your motor, what the quotation includes and which questions remain open before you place an order. Global China Bridge helps overseas businesses coordinate manufacturer searches, supplier checks, document collection, factory visits and production follow-up in China.

A supplier name is only the beginning
Finding explosion proof motor manufacturers online can produce a long list of options. It does not establish which business actually manufactures the motor, whether the proposed configuration matches your requirements or who will follow up when production changes.
GCB works on the China side to help you ask those questions and collect the evidence. We provide sourcing and coordination support rather than presenting ourselves as the motor manufacturer, certification body or installation designer.
Choose the support your order needs
| Task | Work we can agree | Buyer-facing output |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer search | Search against a defined product brief and contact suitable candidates. | Candidate comparison with responses, gaps and next questions. |
| Supplier verification | Check business identity, seller/manufacturer relationships and available records. | Findings with the source and limitations stated. |
| Document coordination | Collect datasheets, proposed markings and relevant certification documents. | An organized pack and discrepancy list for your technical reviewer. |
| Factory visit | Attend the nominated site against a written checklist. | Observed findings, permitted photographs and outstanding actions. |
| Production follow-up | Track agreed milestones, changes and document readiness. | Updates linked to your order and approved specification. |
| Pre-shipment coordination | Arrange agreed physical/document checks and shipping preparation. | Inspection findings and shipment information for buyer review. |
Factory visits: check the operation behind the quotation
We can visit the nominated factory against an agreed checklist, speak with the responsible staff and record the relevant manufacturing activities. The visit can cover the company and site identity, production areas, assembly, incoming-material checks, inspection records, storage and the handling of outside processes.
The report should distinguish what we observed from what the supplier told us. If the relevant production was not running, a record was unavailable or a process was subcontracted, we report that clearly. A factory visit is useful because questions can be asked where the work happens, rather than relying entirely on a sales presentation.
Already have a supplier? You can ask for a defined visit or verification task without commissioning a new manufacturer search. See our supplier verification and factory-check support.
Quality control: connect the checks to your approved order
We help agree the inspection scope before production or dispatch. This can include product identification, visible configuration, nameplate records, agreed dimensions and accessories, document completeness, packaging and attendance at agreed factory tests. Methods and acceptance criteria should come from the approved order and the responsible technical reviewer.
Specialist testing is arranged with appropriately qualified providers where required. Ordinary purchasing checks do not replace product certification or installation approval. Our role is to coordinate the agreed work, record findings and follow up when evidence or corrective action is missing.
If a discrepancy is found, we can raise it with the supplier, identify the responsible person and request the agreed corrective evidence. The buyer receives the findings needed for its release decision. Learn more about quality control and pre-shipment coordination in China.
Production follow-up: keep the order moving and changes visible
After an order is placed, we can follow agreed milestones such as drawing approval, material readiness, assembly progress, inspection preparation and final document handover. Updates should identify what has happened, what remains open and the next action, rather than simply repeating that production is proceeding normally.
If the factory proposes a substitution, schedule change or outside processing arrangement, we bring it back to the buyer for review. We do not approve a technical change on the buyer’s behalf without the relevant authority. Keeping an issue visible early gives the buyer more time to make a decision.
Our China-side production follow-up service can be scoped for an existing order. Packaging and shipment preparation can then be coordinated against the accepted specification and agreed delivery responsibilities.
Start with the application, not a general “certified motor” request
Send the destination country, driven equipment, required output, voltage, frequency, mounting and available drawings. Include the site’s classification requirements and any customer specification supplied by the responsible technical team. Tell us which fields still need clarification.
For a replacement, the existing nameplate and dimensions can help start the discussion. They should be accompanied by the installation requirements and any changes in use. We help obtain supplier responses; technical acceptance remains with the responsible reviewer.
Document claims need a clear scope
A certificate image is not a substitute for identifying the exact motor being offered. We can coordinate the collection of complete documents, model details and proposed nameplate information, and raise apparent mismatches. Specialist assessment and testing are arranged separately where needed.
The European Commission’s ATEX information describes the equipment framework for the EU. For IECEx, the official equipment FAQ explains the role of the online certificate record. The purchasing task is to establish the applicable requirements and obtain relevant evidence, rather than treating every approval label as interchangeable.
How a sourcing assignment proceeds
- Define the brief. Identify the product, intended use, destination, documents, quantity and open technical questions.
- Agree a small starting task. Choose a search, business check, document-coordination task or site visit with defined outputs.
- Review findings. Compare responses and resolve critical gaps before committing to the proposed configuration.
- Follow the order. Agree production milestones, changes, checks and the document handover before shipment.
Published starting fees
| Service | Base fee | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Remote supplier check | $99 | One company; agreed remote business-check scope. |
| Manufacturer search | $299 | One product brief, one search round, up to three responsive and initially suitable candidates. Fewer candidates are reported honestly. |
| On-site factory visit | $350 per person-day | One factory, up to one working day. Travel and additional travel days agreed separately. |
These are service fees, not motor prices or certification fees. Samples, specialist testing, extended coordination, logistics and other additional work require a written quotation. A factory visit is not a certification audit. See pricing and payment details before selecting a task.
What responsible follow-up looks like
Someone visiting a factory should do more than collect attractive photographs. The useful work is checking the agreed questions, distinguishing direct observations from supplier statements and following unresolved matters back to the person responsible.
Reports should make the limits visible: what was checked, what was unavailable and what still requires a decision. We do not promise zero risk, universal certification acceptance or the lowest price. We aim to make your China-side purchasing work clearer and better documented.

Frequently asked questions
Can you help if I already have a motor supplier?
Yes. We can discuss a defined verification, communication, visit or follow-up task without repeating the entire supplier search.
Do you accept small orders?
Small enquiries are welcome. Feasibility depends on the required configuration, supplier minimums and task scope; we will discuss those points before paid work begins.
Can you guarantee certification or local acceptance?
No. We can coordinate evidence and communication. Applicable requirements and acceptance need confirmation by the responsible technical and conformity parties.
What should I send first?
Send the specification or existing quotation, destination, quantity, required timing and the questions you want resolved. Mark unknown information rather than guessing.
Bryan’s Perspective
A promise is easy to make from a distance. The more useful question is who will go to the factory, ask the uncomfortable question and return to check whether the answer has been acted on. Being entrusted with a purchasing task means following it through, including reporting what is not ready or has not been verified.
That is the kind of China-side support we aim to provide: clear observations, practical communication and responsibility for the work we have agreed to do. You should know what we checked, what remains uncertain and which decision needs your attention next.
